These terms govern use of the LocalesFit Shopify application (the “app”), operated by Tradik. Installing the app constitutes acceptance of these terms.
1. Service description
LocalesFit injects locale-aware typography (orphan prevention, smart quotes, hyphenation, ß→ss orthography, NBSP punctuation, etc.) into your Shopify storefront via a Theme App Extension. Configuration happens through an embedded admin UI.
2. Plans and billing
- Free plan — $0/month, one active locale, no credit card required.
- Standard plan — $5/month, unlimited locales, 7-day trial. Billed by Shopify’s Managed Pricing; charges appear on your Shopify invoice.
Plan changes take effect immediately. Refunds for partial billing periods follow Shopify’s Managed Pricing policy. We do not process payments directly.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, redistribute, or resell the runtime bundle outside your own storefront.
- Use the app to inject scripts unrelated to typography (the runtime is locked to text-node transforms).
- Attempt to overwhelm the app with abusive traffic. Rate limits apply per shop.
4. Availability & performance
The Theme App Extension assets (runtime.js, typography.css) are served from the Shopify CDN and inherit Shopify’s availability. The admin and config-write paths are hosted on our infrastructure with target uptime of 99.5% per calendar month. Planned maintenance is announced via the support email subscriber list.
5. Data & privacy
Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share merchant data with third parties. Sub-processors are limited to Shopify and Cloudflare.
6. Intellectual property
The app, runtime bundle, locale rule definitions, and embedded UI are © Tradik. Hyphenation patterns derive from the Knuth–Liang TeX patterns and the hyphen npm package under their respective licenses (LPPL / MIT). Typography rules are factual and not proprietary.
7. Disclaimers
The app is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that automatic locale detection will be 100% accurate for every page; merchants can override per-locale enablement at any time. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, beyond the amount paid in the trailing 12 months.
8. Termination
Uninstalling the app from your shop terminates these terms and triggers automatic data deletion (see Privacy Policy §6). We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of section 3.
9. Changes
Material changes are posted on this page with an updated Last updated date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
